Lodging Quality Assurance Program

The mission of the Lodging Quality Assurance (LQA) Program is to ensure that our lodging partners are provided with information and tools to consistently improve lodging standards, and that visitors to the Vail Valley always experience the finest in accommodations.

The LQA Program has been offered to Vail Valley rental properties since 1999. The program provides a detailed interior inspection from which the unit is assigned a rating of Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze based on a specific matrix of criteria.

The LQA program began with the goal of standardizing the ratings used by properties throughout the valley to help manage the guest’s expectations. Today, the LQA program is used as a guide for property managers and owners when upgrading their units. All properties that can be booked on Visit Vail Valley undergo LQA inspections.

Certified Vendor Program
To assist the area’s lodging partners on reaching higher LQA ratings, the Vail Valley Partnership created the Lodging Quality Assurance Certified Vendor Program. This program educates vendors on the LQA rating system so they can assist property owners with purchasing high quality products that correspond with the inspection qualifications.
