Wheels for Joshua: A Fundraiser for Joshua Casillas

Please help us help Eagle resident Joshua Casillas, and his family, get a wheelchair conversion van. Joshua is a 14-year-old attending Gypsum Creek Middle School. Josh now weighs 140lbs and is 5’2″ tall. It is no longer possible for his family to pick him up to get him in and out of a standard vehicle. When Joshua was eight months old, he contracted meningitis which resulted in many hospital stays. Since then he has been diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy, intractable seizure disorder and other mental and motor delays. Joshua is the glue for this family of 5; he enjoys listening to music and watching TV.

The Board of Directors of the Vail Valley Charitable Fund has approved an extended grant and is helping friends and family host a community event to raise money for a wheelchair conversion van for the family and future lifelong expenses. There will be a fundraiser, Wheels for Joshua, on Sunday, November 13^th at the Brush Creek Pavilion. The goal of the fundraiser is $25,000.
