Tomas Pevny, MD, orthopedic surgeon at ValleyOrtho, is pleased to present “Common Ligament Injuries of the Knee,” a virtual discussion via Zoom, on Wednesday, Feb. 2. The presentation is part of Valley View University (VVU), a series of free educational webinars hosted by Valley View.

Injuries to the ligaments around the knee are common, especially in athletes and those who enjoy being active. These injuries can be debilitating and affect one’s ability to enjoy an active lifestyle. However, with the right diagnosis and treatment, one doesn’t have to be off their feet for long. In this 20-minute discussion, followed by open Q&A, Dr. Pevny will discuss the most common ligament injuries of the knee, tips to avoid injury, and treatment options to get people back to the activities that they love.

Dr. Pevny, who has been practicing in Aspen since 1995, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee and shoulder injuries, sports medicine, trauma, total joint replacement and joint preservation. He has treated thousands of patients in the Roaring Fork Valley and the world, taught seminars around the globe and helped train orthopedic fellows and residents.
