After several highly lauded stints at Vail Jazz, Bria is back from her native Chilliwack, Canada to serenade Vail fans once again. Originally a piano student, she first performed professionally as a big band singer and trumpeter at 16 and, since then, has burnished her reputation as a highly versatile and impressive performer, songwriter, and arranger. Recipient of numerous prestigious jazz awards, she is now a frequent headliner at jazz festivals and prestigious clubs throughout the world and is also a formidable force in jazz education. She rouses audiences equally with her sultry voice and her stirring trumpet playing, gracefully laced with a thorough knowledge of classic jazz, but often with soul, world rhythms and innovative percussion patterns thrown into the mix.
