Ute Native Americans & The History of the Mountain Trails

Event date: This event has already passed.

5:30pm - 6:30pm

Vail Public Library

Want to be a more informed skier/snowboarder?  Learn about the history behind the trails and slopes of Vail and Beaver Creek at Vail Public Library. Join local historian Greg Earle as he explains Eagle County’s history and shares the historical background of certain Vail and Beaver Creek slopes and their connection to the Ute Native Americans who occupied the valley before the 1840’s. This talk may not change your skiing/snowboarding technique, but will make you appreciate the slope you are on. This presentation is part of this year’s One Book One Valley programming.
