Please join other Eagle Valley Seniors from around the county at Avon’s Eagle River Presbyterian Church on Mar. 13 at 1:30pm, Come hear the tale of our area’s first town, Astor City, the legend.  This story also involves O.W. Daggett, a settler from Gypsum & editor of a Red Cliff newspaper.  Daggett claimed that Longfellow wrote about Evangeline and placed her in Astor City in his Poem.
