Description:

This course is a collaboration between an experienced instructor and student participants who are bringing real-life project scenarios as the subject matter. At the end of the course, participants will have developed the essential artifacts that equip and guide the project manager and team through the project lifecycle. Participants will learn the following concepts, tools, and techniques, that can be applied to current and future projects:

  • Introduction to Project Management
  • Stakeholder identification and engagement
  • Project scope and activities
  • Project schedule
  • Quality assurance and control
  • Resources and risk management
  • Project procurement
  • Project metrics & performance
  • Tools, techniques, and situations specific to construction-related projects

Intended For: This course will include the foundational concepts of project management with a focus on the “built environment”. Anyone involved in the planning, design, construction and finishing of a construction, renovation or mitigation project will benefit greatly from this instruction. This includes, but is not limited to: general contractors, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, designers, architects, and skilled trade services.
