Meet the Funders Panel: Boettcher Foundation, Vail Board of Realtors Foundation and US Bank Foundation update
On Thursday, November 4th from 11 am – 12:30 pm join us to hear about funding priorities and grant tips and techniques. Join us for insights from the following panelists.
They will share information on strategic funding initiatives, giving philosophy, and the grantmaking process. Attendees will gain valuable insight on potential partnerships with each funder and opportunity for open dialogue and questions.
Garrett Mayberry, Boettcher Foundation Program Manager
As program manager, Garrett oversees the Boettcher Foundation’s portfolio of leadership grants, scholar enrichment grants, and the Webb-Waring Biomedical Research Awards program. He also assists with communications efforts and social media.
Prior to joining the Boettcher Foundation, Garrett worked as a fellow at El Pomar Foundation, where he hosted international visitors, launched an environmental stewardship program, and supported grants and communications. He also was an intern with the grants and scholarship programs at the Boettcher Foundation.
Raised in Arvada, Garrett attended the University of Colorado Boulder as a Boettcher Scholar, where he studied Spanish, Portuguese, and International Affairs and was a Presidents Leadership Class member and class advisor.
When not exploring new running trails or soccer pitches, Garrett can most likely be found hovering over a plate of spicy Mexican food with a good book close by.
Melanie McKinney, Vail Board of Realtors Education & Marketing Manager
As Education & Marketing Manager, Mel plans and hosts events and educational sessions, and manages marketing campaigns for the Vail Board of REALTORS® and Vail Board of REALTORS® Foundation. Mel provides Affiliate members with information on their benefits and sponsorship opportunities.
Mel was with Bright Futures Foundation as the Communications and Business Coordinator and CanDo MS before joining the Vail Board of Realtors. She is very active in Eagle County Gives. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder and has a Bachelor’s Degree from the Colorado Mountain College. She is active as a VVP Ambassador and in the Women’s Foundation of Colorado.
Sandy LaBaugh, VP – Business Banking RM, Community Banking, US Bank
Sandy will talk briefly about sponsorships/grants and other information that might be helpful to non-profits locally.
