A recent Economic Impact Report from Pro15, The Western Way, and Action 22, identified more than $9.4 billion in renewable energy investment and construction activity in the eastern plains from 2020 – 2024. These projects will create more than 6,000 jobs and generate $23.1 million in annual tax revenues for local governments. In addition to the eastern plains, the whole state is set to benefit greatly from investments in renewable energy projects in the coming years as energy generation and consumption rapidly change and renewables prove to be a driver in the Colorado State economy.
