Topic: Meet the Funder – The Colorado Health Foundation

The Colorado Health Foundation believes that having health in reach for families and communities across the state should not be limited by lack of opportunity, poverty or racism. Because of this, the Foundation works to create fair opportunities for all Coloradans to be healthy by engaging closely with communities across the state through investing, policy advocacy, learning and capacity building.

Robin Thompson, Executive Director of Philanthropy and Community Outreach for Vail Christian High School, will serve as moderator for Tanya Weinberg, Program Officer. Tanya will describe how the Foundation strives to have the greatest impact on the health and wellness by grounding their work in three cornerstones:

  • We serve low-income Coloradans and/or those that have historically had less power or privilege.
  • We are informed by the community and those we exist to serve.
  • We do everything with the intent of creating health equity.

Come hear about the Foundation’s transition to a new grants management system, called Fluxx. All users, both former and new applicants as well as current grantees, will need to create a new account when accessing the system for the first time.

If you are not currently on the Foundation’s mailing list, please visit coloradohealth.org/join.

Be sure you don’t miss this session on Tuesday, September 11 from 1-2:30 at the U.S. Bank 3rd floor conference room.

Seats are limited to 20, RSVP to Maren at 970.477.4001.
