This session in the Nonprofit Learning series is on developing a successful Annual Giving program. It will delve into your tactics for cultivating, stewarding, and soliciting your donors to build a base of support for your organization. We’ll explore the components of a strong direct mail appeal as well as how to incorporate multichannel marketing (direct mail, email, online giving, social media, print) into your solicitations.

Originally from Syracuse, New York, Emily has resided in the Vail Valley for over 25 years. She has worked in development for the past 12 years, specializing in annual giving, development operations, donor database administration, fundraising events, and donor and community relations. After a seven-year absence, Emily returned to Vail Health Foundation as Director of Annual Giving and Community Engagement in spring 2019. Her career includes a position at the Vail Valley Foundation, where she oversaw development operations and donor relations.  In June 2021, Emily earned the distinction of becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

In her spare time, Emily enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her partner, Roddy. She is proud of her daughter, Amanda, who is a freshman at Colorado State University studying Sociology. Emily spends quieter moments reading, throwing pots on the wheel, and practicing yoga.
