Evenings of Engagement @ your library with Harper Powell

Powell is a native of the Salida, Colorado area. At age 9, Harper began performing at open mic nights at the Salida Café and has gone on to perform at a number of venues, including High Mountain Hay Fever, Bluegrass on the Arkansas, the Salida SteamPlant, and Swallow Hill Music. Harper and her sister, who plays the fiddle, began performing together, playing a mixture of fiddle tunes and folk songs by some of their favorite artists. Harper has also performed out of state in Texas, New York City, and at the Velo Rouge Café in San Francisco. Harper, age 19, is a sophomore at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
