Directions:
Take I-70 to Eagle (Exit 147). Turn south (left) on Eby Creek Road to the roundabout. Take the first right out of the roundabout. Go west on Highway 6 (Grand Ave.) for .8 mile to next roundabout. At this roundabout, take the third right onto Sylvan Lake Road. Continue on Sylvan Lake Road approx. 1 mile and take a right on Eagle Ranch Road. Follow Eagle Ranch Road to Fourth of July Road, turn right. Fourth of July road takes you uphill for another mile or so, leading to Arroyo Dr. turn left. The trail head is approx. ΒΌ mile on the right.
Parking:
Participants are asked to park at the after party location in the Eagle Ranch Business District and ride to the start as parking is extremely limited at the trailhead. If participants drive to the start, they will need to park on 4th of July Road as directed by VRD staff. Arroyo Road will be closed to all vehicle traffic between 4th of July Road and Haystacker Road from 4 to 8 p.m.
The 2016 VRD Westin Athletic Club Mountain Bike Race Series returns for its 33rd year to offer fun and exciting racing to mountain bikers of all ages and experience levels. This summer over 1,750 riders of all ages and ability levels will compete for $5,200 in cash and $30,000 in prizes. Whether competing in an individual race or signing up for the entire series, racers have the chance to win prizes, free beer and personal glory.
