9:00 a.m. - 10k race start(series event)
9:15 a.m. - 5k race start(5k-series event)
Meadow Mountain in Minturn, Colorado. (Race begins at the Minturn Ranger Station: 24747 US Highway 24, Minturn 81645)
The Summer Solstice race has changed venues and will now take place on Meadow Mountain in Minturn, Colorado.
RACE INFORMATION
Vail Recreation District’s (VRD) Vail Trail Running Series kicks off the Summer with the Dynafit Summer Solstice 10K and 5K, presented by Town of Minturn. This exciting route will take place on Meadow Mountain in Minturn, Colorado. 10k Runners will ascend technical singletrack on the beautiful West Grouse Trail with multiple stream crossings and fields of blossoming wildflowers. At the high point and nearly half-way through the 10k race, runners will begin the descent to the finish on double track with open views of Vail Mountain and the Gore Range. 5k runners will enjoy a 1.5 mile double track ascent through mountain meadows and past old homesteads before making a u-turn and quickly descending to the finish line.

*Please note: There will be no After Party and awards ceremony for the 2020 edition. Raffle winners will be handed their prize when collecting their post race t-shirt. All awards will be mailed.
