COVID and Human Resources – WTH do I do now?

Lance Richards, Director, HR and Risk Management, Town of Avon, Colorado Government will walk you through some of the key HR issues and decisions relating to sudden ramp-down, business suspension, employee care and engagement, and being ready to re-engage quickly. We’ll have a look at the differences between furloughs, lay-offs and separation, and how those might create different results for employees seeking unemployment insurance payments. We’ll discuss specific aspects of the Colorado HELP Act, the federal FFCRA and CARES Acts as they relate to employment, as well as how the PPP can help.
