Cordillera’s Sounds of Summer Free concert Series Kicks Off June 30 with Hardscrabble. 

This free show takes place Friday, June 30 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Bearcat Stables.

Cordillera, Colo–Cordillera’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series kicks off with Eagle-based, Colorado bluegrass band Hardscrabble.  Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

Hardscrabble music can best be described as pure Colorado bluegrass. The band has made a name for itself by for offering a unique blend of original songs mixed with traditional bluegrass anthems, and colorful renditions of crowd favorites. They deliver a lively show aimed at audiences of all ages and musical backgrounds.  Audiences will hear Hardscrabble’s own songs as well as traditional bluegrass anthems by Jimmy Martin, Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, mixed with ‘newgrass’ favorites by artists like The Steeldrivers and Yonder Mountain String Band, and covers by The Rolling Stones and Marshall Tucker Band.

Food from Crazy Wagon and beverage options will be available for purchase.  Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome; please leave your coolers and dogs at home.
