Abrams Creek Open Space in Eagle

 

Join Eagle Valley Land Trust, and Town of Eagle Open Space for a guided hike hike celebrating National Public Lands Day on Abrams Creek Open Space in Eagle from 9-11am, Wednesday, September 26.

Abrams Creek Open Space is very important for hikers, bikers, and wildlife alike. This beautiful trail connects several Eagle trails and is home to deer, elk, bear, and the rare Harrington’s Penstemon. This cherished place is protected forever by a conservation easement held by EVLT.

 

When: Wednesday, September 26 9-11am

Where: Abrams Creek Open Space in Eagle

Directions:
We will meet a the Abrams Ridge Train Head
Take exit 147 from I-70
At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Eby Creek Rd.
At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Eby Creek Rd.
At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on Eby Creek Rd.
At the traffic circle, take 1st exit onto Grand Ave.
At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto Sylvan Lake Rd.
Turn right onto Eagle Ranch Road
Turn right onto Abrams Creek Dr.
Take the last right onto SilverSpur, which dead-ends at the trailhead.
Please park carefully on the road by the trailhead

Bring: We will be encountering unpredictable weather and conditions in the field. Those interested should come prepared to spend two hours outside with sun protection, water, proper layers for Colorado weather, sturdy waterproof shoes, and trekking poles, if desired.

Weather: This hike is weather-dependent, please check EVLT’s Facebook page on the day of the hike for information if there is inclement weather.

This hike is free and open the public but space is limited. Please email jfoulis@evlt.org or call (970) 748-7654 for more information and to reserve your spot.  Although we love dogs, not everyone else does, especially wildlife. Please leave your furry friends at home.
