Bec Sprint/Major League Triathlon

Event date: This event has already passed.

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Harry A. Nottingham Park

Named in honor of Rebecca Lynn Yarberry, a local triathlete and friend who passed in a tragic car accident in the Vail Valley in 2007, the BecTri includes three events, providing opportunity for athletes at all levels and of all ages. Triathletes can challenge themselves in the popular high altitude open water triathlon that they know and love, while teams of two or three can come together to compete in the triathlon with team members choosing their specific event strengths. Bring the family to run or walk in the 5K starting at 8:30 a.m. or sign up those young at heart for the kids duathlon starting at 10:30 am.

This year’s event is also held on the same day as the Major League Triathlon, which invites nationally competitive athletes, live music, vendor village and more. This is one year you won’t want to miss, so SIGN UP TODAY or go to www.bectri.com for more information.

Bring the family and your friends to spend a beautiful day in the park while you participate in a fun event that benefits the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, a local charity.

Major League Triathlon

Major League Triathlon is the first and only professional triathlon league in the United States. The best male and female athletes in the world compete against each other in a unique swim-bike-run team event. Held in major cities across the US, MLT pros compete in pop-up “stadiums”, allowing for a viewer experience unlike anything before seen in sport. Major League Triathlon is more than just a race; it’s a show.
