AvonLIVE! Summer Concert in the Park
Event date: July 24
5:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Avon Pavilion at Harry A. Nottingham Park
Live Music: Ghost of Paul Revere with opening act Tierro Band
An American folk trio hailing from Portland, Maine, Ghost of Paul Revere is known as “holler folk,” not because it involves a lot of hollering, per se, but because it invokes the rich communal tradition of field hollers, with their call-and-response melodies, sing-along hooks, and densely layered harmonies. That sense of musical camaraderie is essential to everything The Ghost of Paul Revere does, and nowhere is it more evident than their sophomore album, ”Monarch.’
The free Avon Live! concerts return this summer, offering ten exceptional evenings of live music…rain or shine! The Wednesday evening music series has become a tradition in the community, featuring award winning national talent, and providing a chance to gather as a Town and experience live music, fresh and local unique foods, a cold beverage, and enjoy a summer evening outside.
