September 6 at 7:00 p.m. | Larry Keel Concert

If flat-picking guitar on the highest level required a resumé, Larry Keel could skip the interview process altogether and get straight to work. Keel has collaborated and shared the stage with an absolute all-star cast over the course of his career. From bluegrass legends Tony Rice, Vassar Clements, Bill Monroe, and John Hartford to modern rock and jam mainstays Tyler Childers, Keller Williams, Leftover Salmon, Little Feat, and String Cheese Incident, all of Keel’s influences and peers sing his praises—not just for his musicianship, but his friendship as well. Keel has been revered by critics at JamBase, Bluegrass Today, AXS, and Rolling Stone, who dubbed him “…One of the finest flatpickers around.”

Over the past 30 years, Keel has grown a cult-following with his energetic performances and skilled musicianship; he has released 16 albums and is featured on 10 others, including his side project with Keller Williams, Keller and the Keels. His newest release, One, follows Keel, along with his longtime bandmates Jenny Keel and Jared Pool, from the philosophical to the supernatural to the sardonic to the unapologetically romantic, all expressed with his charmingly gritty voice and masterful acoustic guitar work.
