Stern & Curray attorneys Emily White and Theresa Vogel will be presenting on I-9 compliance and how to avoid potential pitfalls. They will address how to handle employment authorization documents for employees with temporary work permission, including what to do if an employee’s work permission expires and how to avoid discrimination claims.  Additionally, they will discuss I-9 audits by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), outlining what ICE is looking for when they conduct an audit and the financial ramifications of minor errors.  Finally, they will address the steps you should take should you find errors on your I-9s.
