Meet Onie Bolduc, Broker Associate at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties. Onie is also a Vail Valley Partnership Ambassador. Learn more about our Ambassador Program here.
We asked Onie a few questions about what he likes to do in the Vail Valley and what he appreciates most about the VVP.
Where do you work and what is your role?
I have the pleasure of working with buyers and sellers throughout this incredible Valley. I work with the great team at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Colorado Properties in the new Vail Village Office in the Walls Street Building. My role is best described as a conductor of an orchestra. A typical real estate transaction will involve over twenty people and my key role is to manage the process and tune of the transaction for buyers and sellers. Occasionally, the buyers and sellers are local, but often times they do not live in the Vail Valley full time. With the new TRID Guidelines, RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule, in place as of Oct. 3, 2015, the typical transaction will take 45 days from Executed Contract to Closing. Of course, the search or sale process can take anywhere from one day to a couple years. Communication, experience, and organization are what I attribute my success to.
What is the best thing about living in the Vail Valley?
My favorite part about living in the Vail Valley is the sense of adventure and the culture that is created around the love for the outdoors and mountains. We get to share this passion with visitors and neighbors alike. Living in the Vail Valley is not easy so you make certain sacrifices for this lifestyle choice. There is a shared value with all residents and visitors.
What is your favorite part of the Ambassador Program?
First, I am honored to be a part of the Vail Valley Partnership as I believe in in the mission that the VVP sets out to accomplish every day. I reached out to the team at the VVP and used various tools as a small business owner between 2006 and 2012 on a regular basis. The team and tools proved invaluable. As an Ambassador of the VVP, I am now able to give back to that common goal of collaborative economic development throughout Eagle County. In summary, my favorite part of the Ambassador Program is that I now have an opportunity to help out new or established businesses to succeed in the Valley I grew up in and love so much.
What is one benefit you suggest new members take advantage of?
There are so many services and benefits current and new businesses should be aware of that the VVP offers in an effort to nurture and grow business in the Vail Valley. There are two that I am most excited about. The first is Smart Business Eagle County Program, a program in development at VVP, and I am very excited about. Doing business in Eagle County and in the Rocky Mountains is a challenge, but if prepared with various contacts and tools, which the VVP can facilitate, you can be successful. The program will offer a one-on-one single point of contact for all of a business professional’s needs. This could prove to be invaluable when starting or facing a challenge in your business. The second seems so simple, but remains a problem for so many people. The issue is this: If one person in a relationship has an opportunity to start a job or business in the Vail Valley the issue remains, what will my partner do? No problem, the VVP is here to help. My Partner Career Network is designed to solve that issue through the network of more than 800+ business members in the organization seeking to fill a void in their organization. The VVP is here to help.
