Two Spooky Weekends Coming Up at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park with Haunted Cave Tours and Halloween Fun
The Mountain Fall Festival at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs continues throughout October, highlighted by four frighteningly fun evenings of Halloween festivities and haunted cave tours.
Glenwood Springs, Colo. (Oct. 21, 2015) — Things are about to get spooky on top of Iron Mountain in Glenwood Springs. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has four special Halloween evenings coming up on Oct. 23, 24, 30 and 31. Guests can take haunted cave tours, roast s’mores around the fire pits and play Halloween games from 5 to 9 p.m. The haunted cave tours are recommended for ages 8 and older. Admission for these four evenings is $10 per person, or $5 for annual passholders, and includes the tram ride. The park’s rides will not be open during these events.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, there’s trick-or-treating all day throughout the park and a costume party in the evening, with prizes awarded for ages 3 – 12, 13 – 18 and 19 and older. Winners receive one Annual Thrill Pass for first place, two passes to Iron Mountain Hot Springs for second place and two Funday Passes for third place. Judging takes place at 7 p.m.
The Mountain Fall Festival continues daily throughout October with a pumpkin patch, family-friendly games and fall-themed photos. There’s even more fun on Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. with hayrides, face painting and pumpkin decorating.
The Lookout Grille is featuring Oktoberfest specials including beer brats with onions and sauerkraut, barbecue beef sandwiches, turkey or roast beef wraps and fall salads. There are festive fall drinks for kids and adults, as well as Freaky Fudge in the General Store.
During the rest of October, the park is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Regular admission rates apply during the park’s normal hours. Funday Passes, which include the tram ride, cave tours and unlimited turns on all open rides, cost $49 for adults and $44 for kids 3 to 12. Tram rides cost $14 for adults and $9 for kids.
