Friday Afternoon Club on the Mountain Returns to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is the place to be for Friday Afternoon Club on the Mountain, with free tram rides, live music and food and drink specials from 5 – 8:30 p.m. on Fridays through Aug. 14, 2015.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (June 15, 2015) — Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, which was voted the 2014 Locals’ Choice for Best Place to View a Sunset and Best Music Venue, is giving locals more chances to enjoy both again this summer with its Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) on the Mountain. Featuring live music and food and drink specials from 5 – 8:30 p.m. on Fridays through Aug. 14, the park’s FAC also includes a free tram ride with a coupon that appears in the Post Independent on Fridays. The coupon is valid for free tram or bus rides for up to four people starting at 4 p.m. This summer’s FAC schedule is as follows.
June 19 — Chris Bank and Mark Johnson: toe-tappin’, head-boppin’ Motown, R&B and jazz
June 26 — The Switch (Louie Girardot and Holly Guerin): classic and alternative music from the last 40 years
July 3 — Painters Stage (Noemi and Kristof Kosmowski): gypsy sounds and reggae rhythms
July 10 — Frank Martin and Aaron Taylor: Americana mix of country, bluegrass, folk, blues and jazz
July 17 — Frank Martin and Aaron Taylor
July 24 — The Switch
July 31 — Painters Stage
Aug. 7 — Chris Bank and Mark Johnson
Aug. 14 — Jerry Alcorta and Jenna Wano: acoustic rock, folk music and country
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located on top of Iron Mountain in Glenwood Springs, Colo. Guests can take in panoramic views of the Colorado River and Roaring Fork Valley during the 10-minute tram ride and from the viewing decks. It’s a beautiful spot to kick back and relax with friends at the end of the work week.
Guests can also enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the FAC events. A Funday Pass, just $35 with the free tram ride, includes both walking cave tours and unlimited access to all of the park’s rides and most attractions.
