EagleVail Golf Club announced this morning that it will offer Junior Golf programs to youth ages six to 17 years this summer. Organized through The First Tee of Eagle County, the program launches June 9, 2014 with clinics running 9:00 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday at a cost of $129 per child. “These camps are a great opportunity for kids in Eagle County to learn about golf and the basics of playing,” said EagleVail Golf Club Director of Golf Ben Welsh. “These camps offer the kids a chance to learn about the nuances of the sport, to meet other kids, and have a lot of fun on a golf course.”

EagleVail Golf Course youth classes will be offered June 9-12, July 7-10, and August 4-7. Registration can be done online at www.thefirstteeofeaglecounty.com. Each camp has both Par (ages 6-9) and Birdie (ages 10-17) levels. Each group will be limited to a 6:1 ratio of students to instructors to allow personalized instruction. Groups will be separated by age and ability depending on registration. All participants will receive a Favor Pack on arrival.

Each day juniors will be instructed on different aspects of the game including Putting, Chipping, Irons, Woods, Rules and Etiquette and on-course play. Fundamentals will be stressed as the juniors participate in drills, contests and instruction all with an emphasis on fun.

Students can bring their clubs or borrow clubs from the EagleVail Golf Club. For information about availability of partial scholarships, please contact First Tee of Eagle County at 720-865-3427 or info@thefirstteeofdenver.com.
