The Christie Lodge is excited to announce that for the eleventh year in a row, we will co-host the annual Christel House Golf Tournament with Breckenridge Grand Vacations.
This charity golf event helps children around the world to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Christel House learning centers — located in India, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States — provide education, nutrition, health care, character, and life-skills development for children.
This global event is “ONE DAY – ONE WORLD – ONE CAUSE” across several different time zones with an expected 1,500 golfers participating. One hundred percent of donations to Christel House go directly to the children. In 2012 the American Resort Development Association awarded their prestigious Ace Philanthropic Award to the Christel House for their dedicated support of children in need.
In addition, a percentage of the money raised by the Christie Lodge tournament will stay in Eagle County and be donated to Roundup River Ranch. This Hole In The Wall Camp founded by Paul Newman provides children with life-threatening illnesses camp experiences with appropriate medical care that are fun, safe and empowering. Best of all, the programs at Roundup River Ranch are offered free of charge to all campers and their families, thanks to the generosity of caring supporters.
Last year the tournament netted over $39,900.00 and we are hoping to exceed that mark this summer! Please consider donating prizes or cash to be a part of this fun and exciting golf tournament, which will be held at the exclusive private Adam’s Mountain Country Club in Eagle, CO, on June 9, 2014.
