This year the SOS Outreach Colorado Eagle River Ride, scheduled for Saturday, July 27th, is proud to announce that Dr. Greg Poulter, spine specialist at Vail Summit Orthopedics will be joined by Bill Walton, NBA Basketball Hall-of-Famer on the River Ride. An avid cyclist, Bill will be participating in the ride as well as the post event party at the Dusty Boot in Beaver Creek. He and Dr. Poulter will have a booth pre-ride where ride participants and their families are invited to stop by and say hello.

Additionally, you are invited to join Bill Walton and Dr. Poulter for a free educational seminar on the prevention and treatment of back and leg pain. Bill will share his personal story of living and coping with chronic back pain and the unique, life-changing surgical procedure he underwent that gave him a new lease on life. Dr. Poulter, one of the few surgeons in the country who utilizes this unique approach to spine surgery, will discuss the minimally invasive procedure as well as other new spine technologies that are available today. The presentation will take place July 26th at Shaw Cancer Center in Edwards, Colorado from 5:00pm-6:30pm. The talk is free and open to the public. The SOS Outreach Colorado-Eagle River Ride is a premier event in the Vail Valley benefiting the youth development non-profit SOS Outreach. The ride loops from Beaver Creek Ski resort out along the scenic banks of the Colorado and Eagle Rivers including the famous hard-packed dirt portion of the Colorado River Road. There are multiple routes to suit each rider’s ability including a 100 mile, 68 mile and 42 mile. This unique ride not only gives riders an opportunity to ride a course that can be difficult without full SAG support, but all proceeds go to SOS Outreach.
