Bravo! Vail today announced the unveiling of its new brand, including a more concise and flexible version of its popular name, new logo design and tagline development. The name and tagline, “Bravo! Vail – The Sound of Extraordinary,” and its new look will permeate the 2013 season and beyond, including but not limited to all season collateral. The 26th season is the perfect time for this comprehensive redesign, the first in many years, as Bravo! Vail moves into the next 25 years of its storied history.
Under the leadership of new executive director James W. Palermo, who assumed the role in September 2012, the new brand is designed to focus current institutional efforts on increasing ticket sales to even higher levels, growing the quality and scope of the Festival, and highlighting Bravo! Vail’s distinction as being the only Festival in North America hosting three world-renowned resident orchestras.
Bravo! Vail selected Hill Aevium of Edwards as its agency of record tasked with developing a brand strategy for moving the organization forward.
“After much research and close collaboration with the Bravo! Vail team, we felt it was time for the rest of the world to know just how far this music festival has come,” explained Pati Martinez, Creative Director for Hill Aevium. “You would literally have to travel far and wide to replicate the musical offering that comes to Bravo! Vail’s stage every summer. It’s a one-of-akind experience in a spectacular setting.”
The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival was created in 1987 by John Giovando, an attorney with a love of classical music, and acclaimed violinist, Ida Kavafian, who together had already established a successful chamber music festival in New Mexico. Through world-class performances, dedicated leadership and generous support from the community, the Festival has grown from a handful of attendees to an annual audience of more than 60,000. More than 50 acclaimed soloists visit the Vail Valley each summer to perform in chamber ensembles and as soloists with resident orchestras.
A renewed effort to reach core target markets – year-round residents, second-home owners, and visitors to the Vail Valley, including Denver/Front Range visitors – who love sharing a great
musical experience in a spectacular natural setting with friends, is enhanced by Bravo! Vail’s ultimate trifecta: great music, social interaction, and the natural beauty of the Vail Valley.
The only Festival in North America to host three of the world’s finest orchestras in a single season, Bravo! Vail celebrates its 26th season June 28 through August 3, 2013, under the leadership of artistic director Anne-Marie McDermott and executive director James W. Palermo. The 2013 season features residencies by the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra with popular concerto artists plus a wide array of stellar chamber music performances.
