  • Vail Valley Partnership Launches Shop Local Effort

Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) today announced it will introduce a Shop Local initiative to the Vail Valley community. As the economic development organization and regional chamber of commerce, Vail Valley Partnership works diligently to promote and support not only its 770 business members, but the entire Eagle River Valley economy as well. In support of its mission to create regional economic vitality and promote the Vail Valley as a place to do business, the Partnership will be encouraging locals and guests alike to shop locally. The Shop Local initiative benefits Partnership members through additional exposure and promotion, helps destination guests by providing discounted local services and products and supports the local economy by keeping money spent, here in the Vail Valley.

The Shop Local initiative will include soon-to-come enhanced member business listings through VVP’s “Shop Local Business Directory,” located both at VailValleyPartnership.com and VisitVailValley.com. The newly enhanced listings will better highlight businesses by relevant category so that locals and guests can more easily find a VVP partner for all of their business needs. In addition to the business directory, Vail Valley Partnership members also have the opportunity to participate for free in Trippons.com’s mobile coupon site.

In order to provide additional exposure to destination guests and locals, VVP members can upload a digital coupon or discount offer to Trippons.com’s Vail Valley page and promote their service and/or product to a large and diverse audience. Participants are able to control their offer entirely and can measure their return on investment by tracking the number of visitors to the offer and the total number of redemptions. Coupons or discounts can include professional services like auto repair or technology, as well as destination-orientated deals like spa services or restaurant specials. Trippons.com coupons appear both on VVP’s destination and chamber website.

“Shopping locally, and equally important, utilizing local companies for professional service needs including marketing, accounting or human resource services, is an easy way to help strengthen our economy,” said Chris Romer, president and CEO of Vail Valley Partnership.
