  • Vail Valley Partnership Announces Creation of New Vail Valley Merchant Alliance

The Vail Valley Partnership, the Chamber & Tourism Bureau (VVP), today announced their newest community program – the Vail Valley Merchant Alliance. The Merchant Alliance is a collaborative program led by the VVP which seeks to add value to the business community by developing a structured relationship between the Partnership and participating merchant groups.

The Merchant Alliance is a part of the VVP’s continuing effort to enhance the organizations mission, which is to serve a regional leader in sustaining & enhancing the Vail Valley as a tourism destination and as a place to do business by contributing to the identity and economic well-being of the Eagle County. The VVP takes a leadership role with community and business partners to provide a business-to-business resource and voice for businesses in addition to our destination marketing & sales efforts.

“The Vail Valley Merchant Alliance is a natural extension of the Partnership’s community role of helping local businesses to do business here in Eagle County. We hope to continue to help the business community in Eagle County by creating a partnership with participating business associations, merchant groups and other local chambers to provide a regional voice to enhance their local efforts” said Chris Romer, executive director of the Vail Valley Partnership.

The Merchant Alliance creates a valley wide voice and opportunity for input for the participating merchant communities via the Partnership’s organizational structure and regional focus. In addition, the Partnership will host information, dues and benefits for all participating groups on VailValleyPartnership.com and will host joint networking & educational programs with participating associations.

“Our community is filled with many wonderful business organizations focusing on their individual towns or geographic areas. The Vail Valley Merchant Alliance will provide an easy way for locally focused groups such as One Eagle to have a larger voice. The Vail Valley Partnership is providing a great resource to these business groups and is increasing the impact that each individual group can all have in our community” said Lonnie Leto, General Manager of the AmericInn and President of One Eagle.

Participating merchant groups and business organizations include the Vail Chamber & Business Association, Minturn/Red Cliff Business Association, Avon Business Association, One Eagle, Eagle Valley Chamber of Commerce and Gypsum Chamber of Commerce.
