Spring forward with the Vail Valley Partnership
Spring is in the air, grass is starting to peak out in the valley and daylight savings time invokes thoughts of longer days & spring awakenings. If you are like me, these signs of the seasons starting to turn evoke thoughts about how to do things differently & do thngs more efficiently and (most importantly) how to take advantage of various resources to make business (and as a result, life) a bit easier.
I’d challenge the Vail Valley business community to think about how you’ll do things differently as the seasons turn. Specifically, consider your engagement with your local merchant group and the Vail Valley Partnership.
Think you know the Partnership because you’ve been in business in the valley for years? If you aren’t involved with the Partnership or your local merchant group today, you’re missing out on numerous member benefits & programs. Merchant associations throughout the valley are adding value to their specific neighborhoods – from One Eagle to Lionshead, from Minturn-Red Cliff to Avon, these groups are working to represent the business community in their towns.
The Vail Valley Partnership also has quite a few exciting & new programs lined up for our members, from marketing to events to networking. For example, did you know that the Vail Valley Partnership:
1. was recently named the Top Destination Marketing Organization (population under 25,000) in Colorado by the readers of Colorado Meetings & Events magazine?
2. cost savings benefits (including Office Depot, ADP, workers comp safety group and more) save our members tens of thousands of dollars per year? And we’ve got new cost savings programs coming soon.
3. is working on new and innovative marketing programs for our members, including digital marketing & mobile advertising?
4. is providing a regional voice to the Vail Valley at state wide organizations including the Colorado Tourism Office & Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade?
5. is working on a variety of new networking programs and benefits for our member businesses including golf hospitality days, other free networking events, beer pairing dinners and more?
6. is growing our community presence with new programs including the Vail Valley Volunteer Connection and the Vail Valley Sports & Event Coalition?
7. recently redesigned our VailonSale.com last-minute booking engine and will launch our new VailValleyPartnership.com & VisitVailValley.com websites shortly, providing additional exposure for our member businesses?
8. continues to work collaboratively with other merchant groups throughout the Vail Valley to add benefit to the business community?
The Vail Valley Partnership continues to add value and promotional opportunities to help our members grow their businesses. All this, plus our other signature programs and benefits, are available for our members.
If you haven’t been involved with us the past year or more or you’ve let your membership lapse due to the economy or any other reason, I encourage you to learn about the new Vail Valley Partnership. Join or renew today and grow your business with the Vail Valley Partnership.
As always, I encourage all member businesses to get engaged with the Partnership and to contact us with any suggestions you may have to help us better serve you. Call us at (970) 476-1000 or stop by our offices in Avon at Traer Creek Plaza to share your feedback.
