Rupert Wates was born in London, England and studied at Oxford University. He has been a full time singer/songwriter since the late 90s after he signed a contract with Eaton Music Limited. In the fall of 2006, he made his way to the U.S. and is now based in both New York City and Colorado. Since his arrival here, he has won more than 40 performance and songwriting awards. His music is an eclectic mix of acoustic, melodic art/folk featuring flavors of jazz, vaudeville and cabaret. He has released nine solo CDs and their featured tracks have been played on radio stations all over the world. Don’t miss this unique performer!
