Christmas Bird Count

Christmas Bird Count

Event date: This event has already passed.

9:00 am-3:00 pm

Join us for the 118th annual Christmas Bird Count!  Started by the Audubon Society, the CBC is the longest running citizen science survey in history and is entirely volunteer-based.  The Christmas Bird Count provides invaluable data for the science and conservation of wild birds. During this year’s Christmas Bird Count, we will survey two 15-mile diameter circles for bird observations by both car and foot.  Each carpool team will have an experienced leader, so new birders are welcome! Note: please confirm your participation prior to 12/28 because we need to put volunteers into groups.
