Edwards, CO (November 7, 2017) – Kaiser Permanente announced its support of the Eagle County Gives Collaborative by sponsoring the local group to the tune of $15,000. This support directly benefits more than 50 Eagle County nonprofits who are working together to strengthen the Eagle County nonprofit community, increase donations, donors and donation amounts, and improve the services and programs provided to our community.
The Eagle County Gives collaborative efforts are focused around Colorado Gives Day, taking place on December 5 this year, an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day is powered by the year-round giving site, ColoradoGives.org.
“Supporting local nonprofits that build healthier communities is fundamental to who we are at Kaiser Permanente,” said Brent Bowman, Kaiser Permanente Colorado Vice President of Expansion Markets. “We’re honored to participate with the Eagle County Gives collaborative to promote awareness for Colorado Gives Day and are encouraged that so many other local businesses are investing in the success of nonprofits in this vibrant community.”
The Eagle County community has rallied behind this effort with several local businesses committed to providing support to the collaborative. Ski Butlers has been a long time supporter offering its guests a “round-up” option on their rental bill, or the option to make a straight donation, the proceeds of which are donated to the collaborative.
Other strategic partners include: Our Community Foundation, Vail Daily, Always Mountain Time, Bonfire Brewing, Crazy Mountain Brewing Company, KZYR, Manor Vail Lodge, Maya at the Westin Riverfront, Moe’s Original BBQ, TV8, Vail Board of Realtors, Vail Segway, and Vail Valley Partnership.
$1 Million Incentive Fund
The benefit of donating to one or more Eagle County nonprofits on Colorado Gives Day is that these donations will be enhanced by the $1 Million Incentive Fund, created by Community First Foundation and FirstBank.
Community First Foundation, an Arvada-based foundation dedicated to fueling the power of community to drive positive change, and FirstBank, Colorado’s largest locally owned bank, have partnered to present Colorado Gives Day for the past six years. By making fundraising simple for nonprofits and giving easy for donors, Colorado Gives Day is one the most successful events of its kind in the nation. Last year, more than $44 million was raised for Colorado nonprofits in just 24 hours, with more than $1 million of that raised in Eagle County. More than $200 million has been donated since the inception of ColoradoGives.org in May 2007.
The local support from Kaiser Permanente, leverages the statewide efforts and incentive fund to allow nonprofits to strengthen their work in the Eagle County community.
