EGE to welcome 8 millionth passenger on March 29
The Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) will welcome its 8 millionth commercial passenger on March 29. The milestone will be reached via one of the midday arrivals from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles or Miami. All flights will be greeted by Beaver Creek cookie time chefs.
Commercial air service began at EGE in 1989 with a total of 277 passengers. In comparison, 320,111 passengers came through the facility in 2015.
EGE is served by four major airlines: Air Canada, American, Delta and United with non-stop winter service to 10 major cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark and Toronto. Summer service includes non-stop flights to Dallas, Denver, Houston and Los Angeles.
