Sitzmark Lodge Debuts Newly Renovated Fritch Penthouse Suite
VAIL, Colo. (February 3, 2023) — Honoring the Fritch family legacy and residence where previous owners Bob and Helen Fritch lived and raised their three girls over 40 years, new Sitzmark Lodge owner Steve Kisielica recently debuted the newly remodeled Fritch Penthouse Suite at the Sitzmark, offering 2,800 sq. ft. of spectacular mountain view living space.
Featuring a mountain modern design styled for comfort with hints of European and Bavarian flair, the renovation also serves as a “view” of things to come with a planned interior remodel of the entire hotel scheduled for summer 2023.
The one-of-a-kind penthouse features vaulted ceilings, open living spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows, which bring the beauty of the surrounding mountains and village into the interior living spaces. The fully equipped contemporary kitchen opens to the living and dining areas, making it ideal for entertaining.
“Our goal is to celebrate the history of Vail and include authentically local components in every room,” said Steve Kisielica, managing partner for the Sitzmark Lodge. “This includes shower tile that looks like moguls, inspired by the Highline ski run, and granite countertops with river-themed threads. Our goal is to keep a certain whimsy that follows the Sitzmark name while elevating the interior design with a European-influenced, mountain-modern look and feel,” Kisielica added.
