Vail, Colo., April 11, 2022 — Keep your head up, and you can let your hair down when Fitz & The Tantrums and Andy Grammer make audiences feel good to be alive at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Fitz & The Tantrums, an American soul group out of Los Angeles, will be joined by Grammer, a multi-platinum singer-songwriter and record producer with millions of views on his official music videos on YouTube.

Grammer gained popularity in 2011 after the release of his platinum certified single “Keep Your Head Up,” a song he’s performed at various events and on television a number of times. The song is also featured in movies including “Pitch Perfect” and “Tricky Business.” He’s also known for “Honey, I’m Good,” which has over 100 million views on YouTube, and “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah).” Fitz & The Tantrums’ biggest hit to date, “HandClap” is a 2x Platinum single with more than 400 million global streams. They have also been featured on numerous TV shows like “Dancing with the Stars,” “Good Morning America”, and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Tickets to see Fitz & The Tantrums and Andy Grammer in Vail are $50.95-$100.95 and available Friday, April 15, online at grfavail.com.

While Grammer sings songs that are hopeful and uplifting, he knows that life can be hard. His mother passed away when he was 25 years old, and the song “Keep Your Head Up” came to him when he was performing on the streets of Los Angeles. It is through struggle and perseverance that Grammer has found himself as a multi-platinum singer-songwriter.

Over the years, Grammer has opened for a number of A-list artists such as Natasha Bedingfield and Colbie Caillet, and he’s performed alongside stars like Katy Perry, who became one of his admirers after listening to “Keep Your Head Up” – which features “The Office” actor Rainn Wilson in the official music video.

“Known for a string of uber-catchy, platinum hits – including “Honey, I’m Good,” “Fresh Eyes,” “Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)” and more – Grammer is one of the most successful recording artists on the planet,” writes American Songwriter.

Fitz & The Tantrums are an American soul group from Los Angeles, founded in 2008 by Michael Fitzpatrick, who had begun writing soul music for a solo project on an old church organ he had purchased. Fitzpatrick added friend James King to the group as an arranger, and soon after the band expanded to a seven-piece group, including several horns. Fitzpatrick shares the vocal duties with Noelle Scaggs. Other members include Joseph Karnes, Jeremy Ruzumna and John Wicks.

Fitz and the Tantrums’ eponymous album followed their breakout major label debut, “MORE THAN JUST A DREAM,” which featured back-to-back Platinum-certified, No. 1 Alternative Radio singles in “The Walker” and “Out Of My League.” The band has performed countless, sold-out headlining shows and is always a standout at music festivals around the world, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and more.

“Fitz & The Tantrums is the kind of band that communicates best in concert,” writes Los Angeles Times music critic Ann Powers.
