Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley’s Carpenters’ Ball returns Saturday, March 12. This is Habitat Vail Valley’s signature fundraiser and provides the opportunity to gather with friends and industry insiders to support Habitat’s mission to build affordable homes for hardworking locals. All funds raised this evening go to home-building efforts. In 2022, Habitat Vail Valley will break ground on a new 16-home neighborhood in Eagle.

“We’re so excited to come together as a community and celebrate successes to build on in the future,” says Director of Development Elyse Howard. “As the only developer of permanently affordable homes in Eagle County, we rely on partnerships. The need is obviously great for affordable homes: We invite everyone to join us in being part of the solution.”

The continued partnership between Eagle County Schools (ECS) and Habitat Vail Valley will be celebrated at the Carpenters’ Ball. Twelve families have moved into their homes on Grace Avenue on land that was donated by ECS. Later this year, Habitat Vail Valley will begin infrastructure work and break ground on 16 additional homes on 3rd Street in Eagle—a parcel also donated by ECS and with priority for educators. Currently, Habitat is partnering with families to build eight homes in Stratton Flats, with an estimated completion date of late 2022.

At the Carpenters’ Ball, visit the ReStore Lounge, (and buy a new sofa or painting from the ReStore), bid on spectacular live and silent auction items and end the evening dancing to Rewind—all for a great cause.

As housing prices continue to escalate and housing is scarce, Habitat Vail Valley is committed to advocating and building. Last year Habitat broke ground on its 100th house, ensuring more than 377 children have a safe place to come home to. The nonprofit believes creating affordable homeownership opportunities is a key solution to improving the cost of living for the local workforce: Everyone deserves a safe and stable home.

The Carpenters’ Ball happens thanks to presenting sponsors ANB Bank, Laureen Hopkins Interior Design and Slifer Smith and Frampton. Habitat is grateful for support from many in the community including Alpine Bank, First Bank, RA Nelson, Ruggs Benedict, US Bank, Alpine Lumber, Liv Sotheby’s, Land Title, GE Johnson, Shaeffer Hyde, The Gallegos Corporation, Beck Building, Wear Travers Perkins, Amanda & Andrew Veit, David & Susan Honeyfield, Alan Bradley Windows, Andersen Corp., Encore Electric, Vail Tax & Accounting, Fortius Capital, Adolfson & Peterson Construction, ACG Interiors, MG Woodworks, Inc., Taste of Vail, Vail Daily, The Outlaw 102.1, Vail Resorts EpicPromise, Rewind, Grand Hyatt Vail and Kaleidoscope.
