VVP Connect, an online platform, launches to lead and strengthen collaboration for the Vail Valley business community

(EDWARDS, Colorado – February 23, 2021) –Vail Valley Partnership’s mission is to lead collaboration. Vail Valley Partnership (VVP) is launching a new collaborative, online platform that merges professional networking with a resource library exclusively for VVP members and community partners that allows users to connect, discuss, share and champion ideas for the Vail Valley businesses and community. VVP Connect brings together current and future leaders, fosters creativity, grows our networks, and is a catalyst for innovation.

Vail Valley Partnership, the regional chamber of commerce for the Vail Valley, is offering this online platform to engage industry sectors, advocacy groups, and networking groups with public and private community groups. For example, VVP Connect users can view and join public communities like Economic Development, Workforce Housing Coalition or the Nonprofit Network. Other private communities like VVP’s “Leads Group” will be invite only and not viewable to the public. Within each group you can start, and reply to, discussion threads, upload files and share links to a library, and individually connect with other members within the group.

“We are excited to launch this program to help provide opportunities to connect local professionals, help our members build long-lasting relationships, and provide niche communities for people to share ideas and increase collaboration,” says Vail Valley Partnership’s President & CEO Chris Romer.

Romer continues, “This platform is also designed specifically to be an extra resource library for local business and to provide businesses and individuals with updated information on the latest trends and grants access to tap into them whenever the need arises.”

VVP Connect is an easy-to-use application that features:

  • Member profiles where users can upload their headshot, insert a short bio, and list out their job history, community involvement, professional interests, and certifications and achievements
  • Connections between professionals to grow their network and social circles
  • Public/private working groups labeled as “communities” including advocacy groups, industry sectors, community leaders, and professional development community groups
  • Resource libraries to upload and share files and links within each of their own community groups
  • Ribbons, badges and certifications that members can earn by engaging on the platform and reaching benchmarks, or completing Vail Valley Works professional development courses
  • VVP business resource library that allows VVP members to access educational programming files, economic reports, and more

“Our members continue to tell us that professional connections and networking are increasingly important. COVID has increased this need and requires us to be intentional about how we, at the Partnership, develop and create opportunities for our members to grow their networks and deepen their professional networks. VVP Connect was established for this exact purpose,” says VVP Director of Membership Maren Cerimele.

VVP staff had one key element in mind when building this application — it needs to be easy to use for the Vail Valley business community. VVP Connect was designed in this way: simple, clean and user friendly. Better yet, member users do not need to login each time to engage with their community discussions. Discussions are sent to the user emails in either a daily or weekly digest so that they can reply from their email’s inbox without logging in.

If Vail Valley business professionals want to explore the platform, you can begin by visiting VVPConnect.com and create an account by clicking the “Sign In” button at the upper right corner. Upon approval, you will receive an email to login and fill out “My Profile” with a headshot, bio, job history, community involvement, professional interests and certifications. We welcome and encourage all VVP members and community partners to engage with this platform. A more connected community is a stronger community.
