  • Many ways to support your local community on Colorado Gives Day

Eagle County, CO (December 3, 2020) – On Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Eagle County residents will have the opportunity to support local nonprofits and their community. Locally, this annual fundraising effort is coordinated by Eagle County Gives (www.eaglecogives.org) and is the ultimate feel-good giving experience. Eagle County Gives is a coalition of more than 50 worthy and hard-working nonprofits that provide services ranging from helping people with food or medical expenses to supporting education programs to rescuing and rehoming our four-legged friends.

Each year, Eagle County Gives simplifies philanthropic giving by providing a convenient online option for supporting local nonprofits with a single website visit. From there, your giving options are uniquely yours. Donors can donate to one of the 50+ Eagle County participating nonprofits or take the total sum they wish to donate and divide it amongst multiple nonprofits. For donors opting to spread the love, it is easy to donate to all of your favorite organizations at the same time, with a convenient shopping cart feature.

If you would like to offer support year-round, you can sign up to be a monthly donor for as little as $5 per month. New for 2020, the minimum donation amount for one-time or monthly giving is $5 making it easy for everyone to make an impact. Even kids can get involved on the Kids for Colorado Gives page (www.coloradogives.org/kidsfor). Parents, you can download a Giving Kit to help you teach your kid to be a philanthropist and build a habit of giving. There is also a fun quiz for kids to help them figure out what kind of giver they are.

Regardless of which way you choose to give, all monies raised on Colorado Gives Day go to benefit nonprofits, and their recipients, directly in your community.  Last year, the one-day event raised just over $1 million for Eagle County charities. Learn more at www.eaglecogives.org
