Beaver Creek, Colo., March. 10, 2020 — While he might be best known for being the frontman of Men at Work, Colin Hay is equally loved for his solo, intimate live shows. Audiences will have a chance to see why at the Vilar Performing Arts Center March 15.

Colin Hay performs at the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) on Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45. Tickets are available now at the VPAC box office (970-845-8497; www.vilarpac.org). The VPAC is located under the ice rink in Beaver Creek Village (68 Avondale Lane, Beaver Creek, Colorado).

On the heels of 2017’s critically acclaimed “Fierce Mercy,” the Scotland-born, Australia-raised singer-songwriter and lead singer, songwriter and frontman of Men at Work has kept busy over the past two years. Hay toured internationally with Ringo Starr & His All-Star Band in 2018 and 2019. A song he wrote (“What’s My Name”) is not only on Ringo Starr’s forthcoming album, it’s the LP’s title track.

Hay is an artist’s artist in many ways. The range of artists who cite him as a muse or who have found themselves on stage with him in the past year spans the genre landscape from heavy metal to Americana to Cuban masters of rhythm and beyond.

Hay is comfortable on stage even when he’s not performing music. He made his Melbourne Theatre Company debut playing Feste in Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.”  It was his second stint in theater, the first time being part of the cast of the musical Ned Kelly, just prior to the formation of Men At Work. He has also appeared in the much beloved “Scrubs,” played Barry in the Irish/Australian comedy film “The Craic”; Zac in the Australian comedy “Cosi”; and most recently played a role in the American TV show “The Resident.”

At the Vilar Performing Arts Center, Hay’s set will include songs that span his career, including songs from his upcoming album for Compass Records, slated to drop late this year.

See why Colin Hay continues to fill theaters and arts centers across the world when he performs an intimate solo set at the Vilar Performing Arts Center March 15.
