Eagle Valley Senior Life was begun in 2011 by a group of individuals concerned with lack of respite support for local caregivers of older family members or spouses. It is now 2019 and EVSL has a new name: Caregiver Connections. The new mission statement that better reflects the service we provide is “to connect family caregivers or older adults to resources and respite that will empower them to be the best caregivers they can be”. We have also set up a new website (getcaregiverconnections.org) that should launch later in October and have a new logo. We are also actively looking for new volunteers to help staff our Sr Spot day program (Monday/Wednesday afternoons 1-4 pm) in Avon, people willing to provide transportation for senior care recipients to programs, and Activity Buddies who are individuals who meet one-on-one with care recipients and do fun things they both enjoy!
