American Airlines to offer spring service between DFW and EGE

Oct. 28, 2019 – Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and the EGE Air Alliance are pleased to announce American Airlines will once again offer daily spring flights between Dallas-Ft. Worth (DFW) and EGE.

Flights will arrive at EGE at 8:05 p.m. and depart EGE at 8:20 a.m. The service will be operated on a CRJ-700 regional jet, providing 65 seats daily including a first class cabin. The flight will run April 7 through June 3, 2020 when traditional summer service begins.

“As the largest carrier to Eagle, we are proud to extend our service from our largest hub, DFW,” said Philippe Puech, American’s Senior Manager, Network Planning. “These additional flights are a result of the successful partnership between American Airlines, the Air Alliance and the Eagle County community.”

The EGE Air Alliance, made up of both public and private partners including Eagle County, provides funding to support a vibrant local flight service program that ensures EGE remains a vital part of the local economy. The Alliance is supporting American’s spring service with a minimum revenue guarantee.

“More air service to Dallas-Fort Worth is a win for our community, including residents, visitors, group and meeting attendees, and second homeowners,” said Mike Brumbaugh, chair of the EGE Air Alliance. “This spring service will be a stimulus to achieving economic growth and development and means that residents will no longer be forced to spend more and travel long distances to access American’s national network out of their DFW hub.”

The American service is a “remain overnight flight,” which allows an earlier departure and gives passengers increased opportunities for both domestic and international connections. DFW connects to 191 domestic and 67 international destinations.

“This additional service helps further our mission to be the year-round airport of choice for visitors and locals,” said Eagle County Aviation Director David Reid.
