Tickets are on sale now for the ethical leadership conference, taking place Oct. 23-25, 2019

Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder (SStS) and the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business announced today tickets on sale for the 2019 Global Solutions Forum, an intimate gathering of business, nonprofit, and education leaders aimed to inspire and support ethical leadership.

This year’s theme is “Ethical Leadership with Impact: Cross-sector Collaboration for Social Good.” With special focus on the four key sectors of business, education, philanthropy and nonprofit, the Forum will present speakers and topics that encourage collaboration and authenticity to achieve impact.

“In today’s education, business, government and social spheres, the practice of ethics is under increasing scrutiny, as terms like “corporate social responsibility” and a “culture of good” have become commonplace,” said Doug Allen, associate professor of management at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. “We look forward to exploring in this conference what is essential to ensuring real impact through the practice of ethical leadership.”

Speakers confirmed to date include:

  • Andy Fleming, Co-Author, An Everyone Culture and CEO at Way to Grow INC
  • Daniela Papi-Thorton, Author, Learning Service and Former Deputy Director of the Skoll Centre
  • Dr. Michael Burroughs, Co-author, Philosophy in Education and Director, Kegley Institute of Ethics
  • Alejandra Arias-Stella Executive Director, Llama Pack Project (Peru)
  • Dr. Karambu Ringera, Executive Director, International Peace Initiatives (Kenya)
  • Emily Talentino, Executive Director, Give and Surf (Panama)

Attendees can expect to walk away from the conference with tangible examples and concepts related to ethical leadership’s impact. Experts in building healthy organizational cultures and understanding the power of systems learning will expand thinking of social good as an inclusive effort, throughout organizations and across sectors. A full schedule of topics and speakers will be announced as the Forum date approaches.

“Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder’s own organizational model is a shared-value partnership across four major sectors in our society,” said Bob Bandoni, Executive Director for Students Shoulder to Shoulder.  “The global impact of SStS is made possible, as is this Forum, by this model. All of our partners want to contribute to the social good. We can do so through the synergy of working together, by gathering in an inspiration setting and with programming informed by experts in their fields.”

The Global Solutions Forum is targeted toward leaders and aspiring leaders in business, education and nonprofits. Young professionals and students in particular are encouraged to attend, walking away from the three-day conference with inspiration, a supportive network and actionable takeaways for making an impactful difference in society via ethical leadership practices.

The Forum will be held Oct. 23-25 in Vail. Tickets to the 2019 Global Solutions Forum are on sale now. For tickets and more information visit: https://shouldertoshoulder.com/2019gsf/
