  • Six reasons to start your weekend at Friday Afternoon Club on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
This winter, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs is the place to be for Friday Afternoon Club on the Mountain, with free tram rides, holiday lights, live music and food and drink specials from 5 – 8:30 p.m., Nov. 10 through Feb. 23, 2018.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 7, 2017) — Weekends in the Roaring Fork Valley are about to get better. Here are six reasons to put Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s popular Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) on the calendar:

  1. Local vibe — Each week, local musicians entertain with their unique sounds that range from gypsy, reggae and jazz to rock, country, blues and Motown.
  2. Location, location, location — Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is located on top of Iron Mountain, just a 10-minute scenic tram ride from Glenwood Springs, Colo. It’s the only mountain-top theme park in America, and it’s less than an hour from Aspen and Vail.
  3. Isn’t that special — While toes are tapping, the Lookout Grille is serving up specially priced food and drink that warm the belly and the spirit. Drink specials change every half hour with the spin of the wheel.
  4. Mountain views — The views from the park stretch from the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers over the snowy peaks of the majestic Mt. Sopris to the Maroon Bells Range just outside of Aspen.
  5. Holiday spirit — More than a half million lights, which is 35 miles of light strands, make the park sparkle during its Winter on the Mountain festival.
  6. Free ride — Admission and the tram ride are free with an ad that runs each Friday in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent.

FAC at the Adventure Park takes place from 5 – 8:30 p.m. on Fridays from Nov. 10 through Feb. 23, 2018. Guests can ride the tram free after 4 p.m. with a coupon that appears in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent on Fridays. The coupon is valid for free tram rides for up to four people.

This winter’s FAC schedule is as follows:
