Since 1979, Shaeffer Hyde Construction has been Vail Valley’s premier luxury home builder. We provide expertise in all phases of construction from planning, through the building process, & we continue to serve clients with dedicated attention to each completed residence.
Many of our team members have decades of experience in the construction industry, and they have all arrived at their current position via diverse paths. We also work with countless trades during the process of creating custom homes throughout our valley.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Eagle Valley School District in this career exploration project! We took part in the pilot program efforts last year, and we came away with the realization that CareerX was a wonderful arrangement for everyone involved. While we were able to demonstrate the many unique career avenues that can become options for the students, our team was able to experience where today’s youth- our future workforce- is coming from as well.
Our executives showed the students around our internal operations at the office, and our superintendents showed the students around our active job sites so that they could gain a feel for the day to day action that goes into one of our projects. A few of our tradesmen also had the opportunity to mix with the students and share about their own career paths and specialized industry experience.
We encourage the students to ask questions and reach out to us if they have a future interest in our industry. We see the program as an opening for connections to be made in our valley, and we look forward to continued involvement with CareerX in years to come.
