AVON, Colo. (July 26, 2017) – The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is partnering with Tenth Mountain Storytellers to host a second Truth Be Told Story Slam event at the resort on Thursday, Aug. 10th at 8 p.m. Please join us for interactive and fun evening of storytelling. Participants are encouraged to participate by crafting a creative story of 5 minutes or less using the theme Lost and Found.
This is the second Story Slam Tenth Mountain and The Westin have partnered on. The first took place on July 13th and brought out over 30 locals and Westin guests. Eleven audience members participated, including local business owners, policewomen, teachers and coaches.
Arrive early to grab a cocktail from The Westin Riverfront’s new lobby bar The Lookout or dinner at Maya and drop your name in the Story Slam hat. The evening will be hosted by Colorado’s own, Truth Be Told co-founder, Johanna Walker who will select audience members to tell their stories. The audience will then vote on the winner for the evening, who will receivea ticket to the Tenth Mountain Storytellers event on the weekend of August 18-19 in Avon’s Nottingham Park.
The August Tenth Mountain Storytellers event celebrates the artists who bring stories to life and inspire us to keep telling stories of our own, featuring nationally renowned tellers and teachers from organizations such as, Truth Be Told, Spark Off Rose and The Moth.
