The Vail Centre is excited to launch a new program to address the needs of mid-career professionals who want to expand their skills and improve their business acumen.  This new series of courses are typically one to three days and focus on a specific business challenges starting with entrepreneurship.  These courses are researched based with a focus on critical thinking and are taught by recognized university faculty members from universities in Colorado and around the country.

Demystifying Entrepreneurship presented by the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business Deming Center for Entrepreneurship provides an introduction to entrepreneurship and is geared toward anyone launching their own business or improving their existing small business. It will take place in Vail from the evening of September 15th and all day September 16th.  Taught by Erick Mueller an award-winning professor and Director of the Cross Campus Entrepreneurship Program at the Leeds School of Business and Cynthia Banks, a faculty member of the Leeds Business School, both of whom are recognized entrepreneurs. This two-day course seeks to impart a framework and toolset that helps entrepreneurs develop sought-after products and services, avoid pitfalls and succeed at entrepreneurship. Professor Mueller commented, “Entrepreneurship can create a better and more fulfilling life.  Learning to think like an entrepreneur will provide a tool set that will help you no matter what you do in life.”

“These one to three day courses add a new dimension to the catalog offerings from the Vail Centre that specifically address the needs of area professionals.  Organized in response to feedback from graduates of Vail Centre courses, these programs will accommodate 40-60 participants and run only about two days making it easier for professionals to obtain a certificate in a specific topic,” noted Ross Iverson, Vail Centre CEO.
