Feb. 3, 2017 – Eagle County Animal Shelter & Services, Eagle Valley Humane Society and Colorado Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps West will conduct an animal shelter emergency exercise and training opportunity on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The hands-on exercise is designed for community members to learn about and set up a temporary emergency animal shelter.

Local volunteers who are interested in becoming a part of the Eagle County Animal Response Team (ECART) and the Colorado Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps (COVMRC) are encouraged to attend. ECART and COVMRC volunteers respond to local and state animal disaster situations.

The exercise and training will take place at the Eagle County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall at 426 Fairgrounds Road in Eagle. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by Feb. 13 to Char Gonsenica at humane@vail.net or at 970-280-5738.
