  • Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail Welcomes Chefs from USS Colorado Submarine for Local, Culinary Experience

Flame Restaurant at Four Seasons Resort Vail FOUR SEASONS in VAIL, COLORADO Chef Marcus Stewart

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail is honored to welcome two chefs from the USS Colorado Submarine (the newest member of America’s fast attack fleet) on Monday, September 26th for a hyperlocal culinary experience.

Before a submarine’s launch, it’s tradition to have a few of the chefs visit the state the submarine is named after to learn about the local flavors.

The USS Colorado Committee, a non-profit that raises money and awareness for the submarine, has lined up these experiences.

“It is certainly a privilege to have one of these elite submarines named after our state” says USS Colorado Submarine Committee member Shauna King. “The committee is working hard to make sure that the ship has a flavor and theme of Colorado… I couldn’t think of a better fit that represents our state than ha  ving the chefs tour our Colorado mountains for this culinary experience.”

The seamen will shadow Four Seasons Chef Marcus Stewart during the day to master local recipes which they will bring back to the submarine and share during their tour of duty.

The experience will culminate at Flame Restaurant, the Resort’s modern-mountain steakhouse, where a portion of proceeds from sales that evening will go to the USS Colorado Committee.

Guests dining in Flame that night will also be entered in a drawing to win a two-night stay at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail.
